About Us

Originally established in 1992, Southwest Decoratives started out as a home based business offering a series of Southwestern themed quilt patterns in a small, black and white, hand drawn catalog.

After the success of our website, launched in 1994, we expanded our business to include a 2500 square foot brick and mortar shop (in 2001) to offer a greater range of products and services. Today, our shop features 6500 square feet of high quality sewing, quilting, and crafting supplies, along with sewing machine sales and service, classes, training, and support.

Voted a Top 10 shop by Better Homes & Gardens Quilt Sampler Magazine in 2013, our Albuquerque, NM, store attracts visitors throughout the US, Canada and Europe. Our mission is to share the enchantment of Southwest culture with the sewing and crafting community. We work hard to provide our customers with the industry's best deals on high quality patterns, kits, fabrics, and craft supplies that will add Southwestern flair to any quilting, sewing, or home decor project.

Please don't hesitate to contact us with any questions you may have regarding our products and services!

Smiles,
Mary-Jo McCarthy & Family
