Our Lady of Guadalupe Digital Fabric
Maria de Guadalupe... Our Lady of Guadalupe, appeared to the peasant Juan Diego in Hidalgo, Mexico in December 1531. His bishop demanded proof of her visitations, and, after gathering roses in his cloak to give to her, she miraculously imprinted her likeness on his cloak in return. This beautiful story has inspired pilgrimages to sight of the apparitions, now a shrine to Our Lady, the patron saint of Mexico.
